The wind is a major factor you must contend with in golf. You'll have to contend with the wind, but a straight shot will get you to the hole. We recommend the first hole on Resort B or Classic B.

Keep practicing your strokes until you get used to hitting straight and you'll be better off - all golfers are different, so find what works for you and stick with it! You can see how straight your shot is after you hit it by looking at the speed meter in the lower left - it will bend in the direction of your slice if there is any. You want to keep your swing as straight as possible, from back to front, or else you'll add slice to the ball. That said, "normal" golfing motions will be just fine for most players. Extrapolate the motion of a golf club swing with your remote pointed in the direction of the TV: a fast, perfectly level right-to-left swipe will be read by the game as a perfectly straight stroke! Use this exploit on your longest drives if you want, but beware - it doesn't work well for putting! However, you can set your stance pointing the Wii-mote right at the TV if you want.
By hitting B, you'll set your stance no matter where the Wii remote is pointing (when you hit B you should be pointing at the ground, like your Mii, readying for a stroke). Before even moving on you should be aware of an "exploit" of sorts in Wii Sports Resort golf.
